Manchester City crowned Premier League champions after Arsenal lose to Nottingham Forest

Manchester City have been crowned Premier League champions after Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest.

Forest beat the Gunners 1-0 at the City Ground to secure City’s winning fate.

City holds an insurmountable four-point lead with Arsenal having only one game remaining.

It is the fifth time Pep Guardiola’s side has won the Premier League in six seasons.

City are in the running to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup this season and would be the first English team to win a treble since Manchester United in the 1998/99 season.

The team will host Chelsea on Sunday.

City will face Manchester United in the FA Cup Final on 3 June and a week later will take on Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

Forest’s victory ensured it was safe from relegation in its first season back in the top-flight since 1999.
